Tonight will see our flagship BBC Children in Need supported project being featured on BBC Inside Out at 7.30pm on BBC1. The programme follows one of our young people - Ciera - and highlights her experiences whilst showcasing the work of our Young Transgender Centre of Excellence project more broadly.

The Centre, the project and its young people have been working with BBC Inside OUT in recent months and are thrilled to be part of the programme.

Lisa - Project Lead said:

"It has been a fantastic experience for Ciera and some of our other young people to work with the BBC Inside OUT team to put together a programme that positively represents the young transgender community in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

"Our young people have been able to express themselves and take an active role which in turn has boosted their confidence and self-esteem".

"More often than not it is difficult for the young transgender community to have their voices heard and this programme has given our young people the opportunity o do just that".
