To mark the launch of its new Centre for LGBT research, De Montfort University (DMU) is to host a conference, entitled ‘Taking Pride’, on Wednesday 24th February. The conference will uniquely bring together academic researchers in health alongside both voluntary sector and provider organisations in health, sexual health, and wellbeing.

This is the second annual conference, held in order to coincide with #DMUPride and LGBT History Month, to showcase current research and collaborations at De Montfort University.

‘Taking Pride’ will incorporate a series of talks and Q&A sessions, in addition to a choice of four workshops. Dennis Bradley (Project Manager) and Lisa Vine (Project Officer for the Youth Transgender Centre of Excellence) from the Leicester LGBT Centre, will host discussions upon older LGBT and Trans people’s health and wellbeing respectively
