Leicester LGBT Centre would to like to extend its congratulations to Leicestershire County Council and Leicestershire Police for scoring high on the 2016 Stonewall Top 100 Employers list.

“Stonewall’s top 100 employers is the definitive list showcasing the best employers for lesbian, gay and bi staff. The list is compiled from submissions to the workplace equality index, a powerful benchmarking
Tool used by employers to create inclusive workplaces. Now in its twelfth year, the list celebrates the pioneering efforts of leading organisations to create inclusive workplaces”

Leicestershire County Council scored #7 overall in the country and is #1 in the Top Local Government list.

Leicestershire Police scored #17, the third overall highest Emergency Services organisation on the list.

The Centre has forged a close working relationship with both Leicester County Council and the police service, we have all worked together numerous times over the years to support the LGB&T communities of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and to make it a safer and more inclusive place to live and work.
