On Saturday 7 February Red Leicester Choir busked on the streets of Leicester collecting money on behalf of the Centre. The group raised nearly £67. A big thank you for everyone in the Choir who helped on the day. We are very grateful for all the support of so many groups around the City and Counties. A litte bit about the group:
Red Leicester Choir is a socialist choir based in Leicester. It is an enthusiastic group of about 30 people with a passion for singing in unaccompanied four-part harmony. Originally a Worker’s Education Association (WEA) evening class, Songs of Struggle and Celebration from Around the World, we became an independent choir in 1996. We aim to be open access, so we have no auditions. We are members of Musicians Against Nuclear Arms (MANA) and the National Federation of Music Societies (Making Music).
