On 14 November at 7.30pm author, Penelope Lively will be discussing her latest book, Ammonites and Leaping Fish: A Life in Time. Her book is a series of autobiographical essays that reflect on ageing and memory as well as taking an overview of social changes in the 20th Century and contemporary society. She covers changing attitudes to homosexuality and gender equality. Penelope Low was born in 1933 to British parents in Cairo. She spent her early childhood in Egypt before being sent to boarding school in England at the age of twelve. Penelope will read from her book and then interviewed.
